Any chance you could post a pic of the Q5 from a distance so we could see how the calipers look. Ive been thinking about doing the same but wasn't sure it was noticible enough to be worth the time and effort.

When I painted my calipers on my mazda over 2 years ago I stuck vinyl mazda decals on the calipers. They are still on the calipers with no peeling or whatsoever. I did a track event over the weekend and I recorded my front brakes being over 1500 degrees from a few laps and the decals are still there. So I think a daily driven Q5 should be ok.

I plan on it! I would have but it was raining all day yesterday so I left it in the garage. It is noticeable though, but not too noticeable to the point of a bbk kit which its not and I don't want it to look like I'm tying to replicate one.

Here are a few pics from further back so you can see the overall appearance with the calipers painted. I really like it and I think it gives the Q a little more of a sport look which it is worthy of IMO.

Default Any Red's

Thinking about doing my Q5 calipers in red. Just hesitating as I would like to see another Q5 with red calipers. Car is Quartz Gray.

I have enough red caliper paint left over from my other car (Corvette) to finish the job.

It has been almost five years so this caliper paint is very durable.

Here are mine. I didn't have a full car shot handy, but will be taking some of the car once I get my body pkg painted and installed and the car detailed out. The rims and brakes are a bit filthy right now (after only 1 week since a good cleaning ... thanks Audi brake pads!)

This might help you out a bit looking at color. I'm not sure what they'd look like against gray, but I assume pretty good. Mine are against the white.

Thank you sir..... Agree with your red against the white. That's why I am hesitant with the gray before I see this combo. The red sure looks good on the Vette which is Velocity Yellow. Again, thanks.

@Grocery Getter, I think you ride being gray will translate to really whichever color you go with (hopefully you don't choose pink ... haha), but I figure with the dark color of the car an all gloss black caliper with one of the S-Line logos like the OP and I did would look really good on your ride. JMHO. Let us know how it goes man.

@acambio, just go for it man. I found a local custom shop to do mine. Ran about $100 a wheel, but they took them apart, bled the lines, painted front and back of them, etc. Turned out beautiful.
