11' 2.0T @ 15k miles here.

These things are sipping gas while on the highway. Of course I don't mean by flying down the road at excess speed of over 100mph.

I get average 30.5-31 (my own calculation) on the highway at constant speed between 70-80mph. However I have NOT done anything longer than 250 miles round trip so I can't tell but I think it can easily go 400 mph without the chime and close to 500 with the master caution going off.

On the city? Different story. I don't use freeway when I go to work (downtown LA), and I use local streets. Now presuming I stick at home for the entire weekend, that tank of gas can last me 2 and half weeks just going to work and back, 5 days a week, and that's 10 miles one-way.

I think the deviation between pure city and pure highway is pretty steep, however when mixed it's pretty average for this class.

Of course the most important thing is the way you drive can affect a heck lot more than just the pure mechanical gas mileage.

'12 Q5 with 2500 miles

When I fill up, it usually puts about 19-19.2 gallons in, so not quite running it to fumes. It's been gradually creeping up as it's still relatively new, and it's been getting warmer out too by me, so both are probably the reason for the gradual creep-up in miles.

I never filled up when it was under 400, but a few were 405-410. Last tank was about 450... I have a 15 mile drive each way to work and then 15 back, and 90% of it is 65mph, so a lot of highway, and then some city with lights as well. Do a lot of town driving on the weekend so a mix.

I'm expecting a little more creeping to happen as the weather gets nicer and I get more miles on it, but we'll see. I'd love to be hitting close to 500 when all is said and done.

On my Q5 the last fill up I had like 1012 km (628 miles) at 1/4 tank or so. I put in around 16 gallons at that fill up. Don't have the receipt but it comes out to 39mpg.

IF what you say is true, that equates to about 21mpg which for 90% 65mph is not impressive. after 5k miles it does get better. i guess the town driving really throws it off....
i'm not impressed with my 2.0t's mileage compared to my old 3.2

I got 570kms running it to reserve, keeping the car around 130km/h 75% of the time. Thats about 350 miles to the tank, for you Americans.

Default First road trip today

Drove the Q5 2.0T to pickup my dauughter from college today. Car had 580 miles on the odo when I hit the on ramp this morning. Drove about 560 miles round trip. It was windy this morning and the car reported 25.5 mpg and used a bit over a half a tank. Topped of the tank for the return trip and got a reported 27.6 mpg on the return trip. No wind on the way back. Took just under a half tank tank on the return trip. Looks like 530 miles is doable if your goal is to take the tank to zero. Very happy with the mileage. Also, car drives much better than my 2008 MDX and was less fatiguing, too. Spent less time shifting around in the seat to stay comfortable.

400 regularily, 500 a few times. I think 600 is doable if the conditions are right. I have done 30 MPG over a 600 mile trip. 2009 3.2

That is so awesome to get that many miles on a tank! And to think you got to do that in a nice Audi instead of a slow, poor handling non-turbo, 4 cylinder, not so fun to drive, Chevy Equinox to get that great gas mileage. Just a few years ago it took driving a hybrid SUV to get that many miles out of a tank.
