Default 01 TT won't start after driving

Situation: I drive car to a Location, IE store. I come out half an hour later it will not start. After calling it a few names several cranks, I give up and come back an hour or so later. I turn the key and it starts right up.

Repairs: coils, plugs, fuel pump relay no check engine light and I pulled the fuel line, sprayed my other car.

What suggestions do you all have for me to look at next?
thanks.

You should scan for fault codes. VAG-COM is best. You may have a failed when warm crankshaft position sensor with fault code P0322.

Do you suggest the USB to Computer or one of the hand held units? I do not want to be stuck at some auto parts store to have them scan for the code.
I also might change out the sensor any ways to see it that's the quick fix

You should but the genuine system from Ross Tech then install in a good computer. I use a Mac Book. Lots of money but worth it if you own Audis or VWs. There are a lot of VAG cars in my family including some high miles cars that need lots of attention.

I had the same issue with another car, not an Audi, but the mechanic I asked advice said it could be the ECU or throttle body controller tweaking out. I replaced the ECU on it and been driving it for months being able to start it from first attempt. Before I would sit in parking lots trying to start it over and over again. Not sure how it is on VWs, but the security system sometimes would not fully disable, so I had to lock the car, then unlock it and it would start right up.

I finally purchased a code reader. fault code P0322 came up when I went to start it. I was hoping for the Cam sensor, easier to reach. Now the TT is running great. Thanks for all the advise
