Finally got my Q5!

Congrats! I picked up mine today. Q5 3.2 Prenium, Glacier White, Cinnamon, sunroof, nav. Question, is your inside all black (ceilling too). Mine I was expecting all black but the ceilling is gray. Is this an error on Audi's part?

That's strange. Mine is all black. Maybe because I have the 2.0 and you have the 3.2??

My dealer told me only the S-line came with all interior black, but when I did my config online with Audi it showed me that my Q5 would also come all black, so I gave my dealer my config for order. I called Audi Canada and they say its not their fault if online shows a given view for config and its the dealer responsibility to order properly. I've asked Audi Canada for a compensation, but they say it's not their issue. Who to blame?

Nice. But why are your headlights different? It doesn't have the row of running lights forming the eyebrows (or eye lashes) above the main headlights. Seems to be below instead. Is this a new design for the 2013 models?

Unfortunately, I feel as though the blame falls on you. I knew in advance through discussions with my dealer, reading this forum and also reading the S-Line description on the Audi Configurator that this was the case. I have seen lots of errors and misrepresentations on other online config tools from other car manufacturers as well. I believe that these config tools are really just guides to give you an idea of what to expect but are in no way a contract on what the manufacturer should provide for you. Sometimes, you'll find even printed promotional material showing configurations that are not even available in your own country.

If you told the dealer that you wanted a black headliner and didn't get it, your beef is clearly with them.

If you didn't tell your dealer you wanted a black headliner because you assumed you would get one, then I think you'll just have to live with it. You can't really be upset with them for not giving you something you didn't ask for.

I'm bummed that my Q5 w/o NAV has parking sensors that are audible only instead of visual. I assumed that it would be visual and I would know which sensor was going off. If I had known it wouldn't be visual, I probably would have gotten the NAV for the camera. That said, I made an assumption and was wrong. (BTW, if anyone knows how to rectify this, please do tell!).

He didn't get the LED Headlights

He got the base model 2.0T (Premium) without MMI/NAV

Premium gives you:
*Standard Headlights - (instead of BiXenon & LED running lights- only available Premium Plus or Prestige)
*No Pano Sunroof

He has black headliner because:

*Black Headliner comes standard on all S-Line Models and on all models with Cinnamon Interior. Only way you can get the black headliner in a 2.0T is to get the Cinny Interior. (US Spec'd ... Canada has 2.0T S-Lines, so black or Cinny there)

If he has sunroof, he prob got it as an option.

You can't "order" a black headliner on a car that is not S-line or Cinnamon interior.
Also S-lines (interiors) only come in certain interior leather colors: black and cinny only. You can't get the S-line interior in Cardamom Biege or Gray.

So for US specs:

*Cinnamon Leather/BLACK Headliner

3.2L (with adding the S-Line Interior pkg/ brushed aluminum, S-line 3-spoke steering wheel, perforated leather shifter)
*Black Leather/BLACK Headliner
*Cinnamon Leather/BLACK Headliner
* S-line Interior pkg NOT available in Gray or Cardamom Beige

I believe this is all accurate. Someone chime in if they know differently.

But essentially the only way to get a black headliner is to have:

2.0T w/ Cinnamon Leather
3.2L w/Cinnamon Leather (standard interior/wood trim/4-spoke steering)
3.2L (with S-Line interior pkg) w/Cinnamon Leather
3.2L (with S-Line interior pkg) w/Black Leather

So 4 different combos.

Factory S-Line US Spec's:

Any 3.2L gets you the exterior S-Line pkg (bumpers/door skirts/grilles/fender badges)

Purchasing the "S-Line Pkg" $1,500 USD (only available on 3.2L Black or Cinny)adds the interior package:
*replaces wood trim with metal trim
*replaces 4-spoke steering wheel with 3-spoke partial perf leather with shift paddles
*replaces standard shifter for one with perforated leather
*Black Headliner

Purchasing additional add-on "S-Line Plus" pkg (additional $500 USD)
gets you (pretty sure this is available in black leather only):
*Blacked out: Roof rails, fog-light rings
*Titanium pkg wheels (darker)
*Black window surrounds
*S line embossed Alcantara (center area)/leather seats

.... But I did ask the dealer for black headliner as it would look good with Cinnamon seat. On the order it had the interior code as "RE" and that also match the config papers I had from online configurator therefore the expectations of the order was like the dealer told me: black.
