I assume http://www.europrice.us/amibt.jpg
doesn't work for 3g MMI? iunno.

"Bluetooth Music Interface
Finally a cordless solution to stream your digital music to your car. Cars fitted with the AMI (Music Interface) will plug this into the AMI and then you can send music via Bluetooth from your personal music player, cellular device or anything with Bluetooth capabilities. Installation instructions are included and software for your car is included on a USB drive which will setup your car for this system. Not for fitment with the 3G MMI unfortunately.

Fitment: '08+ A4, S4 (w/ AMI)
Included: Adapter - (x1), Cable - (x1), USB Drive - (x1)
Delivery: Worldwide, Inquire for Details

Not sure if this helps, but I did the process exactly as Warren guy did and worked perfect. Initially I had audio issues because of the grounding but all in all it works PERFECT!

You don't need much, just your existing AMI iPod cable, a 1K ohm resistor, and the Blackberry Stero Gateway. If you purchase the gateway, all the additional cables you need come with it. What I did was use the 3.5mm cable provided and cut the USB mini adapter for the travel charger the gateway brings and soldiered both to the AMI adapter and it works amazing. I was having the same problem on my 2012 S4 with MMI 3G, if you guys like I can show you it working while it streams everything from Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody doesn't really make a difference.

Just a little patience and soldiering skills and in about 15 mins you should have your cable.

I have received a couple of PM's asking how to open the AMI cable, here is a LINK that I used to open the AMI cable. (Go halfway down the page for pictures)

The only difference is that I did not use the CableJive option. I proceeded to solder the cables directly to the PINOUT of the AMI cable. Dug a little around the net and found these diagrams.

Audio: Pins 1,2,3,4 (I didn't use the 4 Pin on my cable, had no ground issue by just using Pin #3)
Power: Pins 25,28
Resistor Loop: Pins 21,22

Hope it helps out!

Very similar to what I did, not a bad pricing if you are not into tinkering around with a soldering gun. If you have a limited budget then all it will cost you is the Bluetooth Gateway and a little sweat.

Good find mpatel1080
