That cable has a headphone jack for audio and a mini usb port for power. I then bought the blackberry music gateway from amazon to stream the bluetooth audio and hooked to up to the cable (I tried a couple bluetooth gateways but the blackberry was the only one that auto paired with my iPhone when i returned to the vehicle. It also works seamlessly with the bluetooth hands free feature in the car). \. The total cost was around $120.

This is what I am doing also. I hacked up the cable last night and everything works but I have a sound quality problem, I think i got one of the cables wrong Going to re-investigate soon. I got crossed up n wires 3 and 4 i think.

Thanks for the info regarding the other thread. I've been following it closely hoping that someone other than poor Warren (the guy who came up with the modified AMI cable) would master the art of creating those cables (it must be a crazy amount of effort)

Not surprisingly, I *think* Warren has stopped making the modified cable simply because of the volume of requests and time it was taking. so... i don't think you can get them anymore!

Although I think I have the capabilities to make such a cable, i definitely don't have the time (I'm a single dad with two kids and I owns a 50+ person company so time is something i definitely don't have much of).

If all else fails, I'm thinking of buying the dockBoss+ from CableJive and I'm also considering buying one of the last two cartronics Bluetooth devices from ebay. The other Bluetooth option is the BlackBerry Music Gateway but those suckers are becoming impossible to find!

Can anyone confirm Warren's modified (dual head) AMI cables are still for sale?

Thank you all for the replies btw. The $100 bucks is still up for grabs since i don't have a proven working solution which i can get here in Canada. That said, Warren's cable might be the solution if they're still readily available!?

We all need to make sure our voice is heard as audi could engineer a software upgrade to enable this. Make sure you call audi of america customer service asking when the fix is coming. the more people that do this the more pressure will be put on them to finally do it.

With an Iphone if you have one mp3 on your phone I was able to use pandora over my speakers. I would have to redo it because I dont remember. I never use it.

If you take one of your AMI cables to any electronics repair shop with the pin diagrams from A5Oc I'm sure they would be able to wire it up so the audio comes from the 3.5mm and power goes to the mini usb.

I have the AMI iPod/iPhone cable and the 3.5mm cable.

I've tried Pandora and Spotify using the techniques described throughout these forums but no matter what i do, nothing seams to work in an S4 with 3G MMI. By the way, I know lots about tech so i'm sure the issue has nothing to do with my technical capabilities (i own a large tech company! I'm not bragging - just eliminating that from the equation).

When using the six inch long 3.5mm AMI cable, I can get Pandora/Spotify to work but that option doesn't allow me to hold the Music device while driving - it's tucked away in the glove box. I want a streaming solution so i can control it from the driver seat.

Unfortunately, every device i've seen is either untested in an S4 or has been tested with negative results. hence the reward for a working solution that doesn't require modifying the car (i lease my cars and need to return them the way I got them).

sorry for the long-winded reply.

Hey here is what I have done using the AMI 3.5mm adapter.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details

basically get a 3.5mm female to female coupler, then using a flat 3.5mm 6ft cable you can still close your glove box and have your ipod in your hand
