The center or heater position is an idle position. Bumping the **** in that position does not move the mirrors.

Default Hide HUD speed and rear windows

If you push the silver **** that controls the height of the HUD speed it will turn off the HUD

Rear windows - mine do not go down all the way. I assume that is standard. Any way to change this?

You'll need to change the shape of the rear doors to give the window sufficient room to go down all the way. :-)

Many think that manufacturers do this for safety - most often it has to do with the shape of the rear doors not allowing the window to go down far enough.

One thing I don't like is that you can't sync the AC for the front without syncing the rear. I rarely have passengers in the back so leaving the AC on for the rear is very inefficient.

One thing I just noticed the other day is that if you have the dome lights set come on when the doors open, the rear lights will only illuminate the side that has the door opened. At first I thought one light wasn't working; that is until I opened the other rear door.

One thing I dislike is that the radio never seems to be able to default to your presets. I have a few favorite FM and Sirius stations that are fine for the 6 touchpad presets, but also have a list of about 20 in all, ranked and ordered by genre, in presets.

I love to use the steering wheel select roller to bounce from station to station.

Every time I turn the car on, the default is either the FM, AM or sat bands -- to get to my presets, I either have to use the central MMI ****, or select it via the steering wheel controls menus.

It should default to your presets if you have them, or at the very least default to the last band or preset list you were engaged with prior to shutting off the engine.

Default Hidden feature and parking assist comment

My son discovered that the front head rests adjust foward and back, as well as up and down.

With regards to park assist, and I hope you all will see the humor in this statement as it is intended and not as a harsh retort but, if you need to use park assist to pull foward into a parking spot, maybe you shouldn't be driving an Audi

I bought my A7 without any of the assist technology....

Would you mind sharing where that adjustment is located? My wife has been complaining that the front passenger headrest is too intrusive. I had assumed that as a safety precaution the headrests couldn't be adjusted back and forth just up and down.

Thanks, will also dig into my manual tomorrow to see if the adjustment is listed in there somewhere.

Simply push the side button in and push it back. Very easy adjustment.
