Default Crank Case vaccum line

So i Found a nice hole in the vaccum line going from the crank case to a part of the intake mani. Tough after removal and it falling into a million pieces i found a bundle of copper wiring inside of the vac line....Is this Normal, im no expert but that doesnt seem right..

Completely normal the copper wire is the flame arrestor. Your only real option for a new hose is this from 034 http://www.034motorsport.com/engine-...b-p-20351.html

Thanks yoda i almost orderd one from ECS and it was oem and 40$ more! phew! Btw i have a bunch of crumbled pieces sitting at the bottom of the breather screen for this line...i tried to vaccum them out but no success...should i worry about this?

You can try some type of solvent(wd-40) to help loosen them before attempting to vacuum or blast them out with air otherwise no I wouldn't be too worried about it. The OEM hose is NLA. there are lot's of other places to get parts from besides ECS not saying they are bad but for one I believe they overcharge for shipping.

Wow! I haven't been on this site in a while.. been neglecting my baby because she doesn't get driven much. But I got on here tonight to search the forums because of this exact same part! Much to my surprise, it was most recent post on the board!! (mine doesn't just have a hole, it separated all together)
