MMI Locking Up A Lot

Hi All -

I've recently run into an issue with my 2012 S4 with the B&O system. Basically I can reliably make it lock up just by playing certain songs. All my songs are the same (m4a, 256, low complexity) and the vast majority work, but some will cause the stereo to lock up (radio still works, and you can browse the SD card but clicking on songs has no effect. Also if you plug an iPod in at this point it will just say "loading" forever). These songs are all playable on a wide variety of other players. If I try to import them to the jukebox it will crash the import as well.

I can recover from this by giving the system the three finger salute and rebooting it, but its pretty annoying.

Are there any software updates that might address this (although my car is pretty new)? I'll mention it to the dealer next time I'm there but I suspect they'll say "well don't play those songs!".

Any one have any advice (other than not to play the songs)?

If you haven't done so, put the SD card into a Windows box & run chkdsk on it; maybe the filesystem on the SD card has become corrupted.

I've re-written it a couple of times, but I'll try what you suggest. I have a second card so I could test that as well. I can play the file directly from the SD card in VLC and other players though.
