Could be the cam position sensor, which is located on the rear of the left (driver's side) head.

Have you try reading the DTC code? Are there any codes? You stated that you have spark and fuel pressure up to the rail. It would appear that the injector are not firing. Pull the codes and post them here.

DTC codes (Diagnostic and Trouble Codes)are the original codes used by Audi and their scan tool VAG 1551.
VAG 1551 OBDII 17514 P1106 O2 Sensor Circ.,Bank2-Sensor1 Voltage too Low/Air Leak 17658 P1250 Fuel Level Too Low Are you sure you have enough gas in the tank? There are no codes which states that either the crank or cam signal is missing or grounded. |

tank. My dad opened up the line to the fuel filter, turned over the engine and MUCH gas was moved, did the same to where the fuel rail is and the same. So WE assume that it is getting gas. So that is the VERY confusing thing..

Your fuel injectors are not firing. Did the car just not start one day?

I was leaving the house and turned a corner and IT died, no warning, no nothing. Can it be the cam sensor or does that also help with the timing
of giving spark? Can it be one of the relays? Thanks much... |

Lets try pulling the codes again. Crank the engine for about 10 seconds, but leave the key in the ON position (do not turn the key off). Plug in your scanner and retrieve the codes. If you turn the key off, some codes might be erased. There is also a fuse (S72) according to the electrical diagram which control the injectors.
