Default I am told I have a Turbo problem, Help!

I have owned an 2007 A4 2.0T for 3 years now. It has always been very slow from a dead stop to begin accelerating. Audi said this was normal for the turbo. I took it to a dealership to trade in on a new vehicle. They drove it and said the turbo is bad and it will cost 2000 to fix. Any idea what could cause this for the last 3 years. If it was truely bad I think I would have had bigger problems with the turbo by now. Any help will be appreciated.

if you are not hearing the dentist drill noise or do not have oil spweing out of your mufflers your turbos are fine. the stealerships give wrong info some of the times. try another mechanic.

a turbo charged vehicle will be slow if the weather out is hot. the colder the better it performs. if it was your turbo you would notice the turbo siren and you would see blue smoke from the exhaust.
