Default S6 back from dealer for 25k servive now shifting is different

Bought a great 08 S6 with 15k mikes. In sport mode accelerating from a stop was violent, in a fun way. Just had dealer service car and shift points and gad pedal to acceleration is subdued in a major way. Could this car have had a tune from the previous owner that has now been overwritten? Or did the factory release a new ecu version with mellower shifting, drive by wire, etc? Thanks for the help. Btw I love this car. Very fun to drive.

Car returned to normal the next day. Was at dealer today to get second key and they washed it, and the engine started acting up again and even stalled. Must have something to do with the carwash. Have any of you experienced this?

Look into possible carbon build up in your intake manifold/valves as one reason.

Check to make sure all TSB's were done (ignition coils had a recall). I havent had that issue. A carwash should not be the cause of the engine stalling. Something else is going on. It should have stored fault codes that may help diagnose. I would be surprised if carbon buildup is that severe in such a young car.

If you notice a connection to the car wash it could be water getting under the coil packs. This was a problem on our cars and resulted in a coil pack recall.

Do you know what model years the coil recall applied to? I have a 2008, just had the 55K service done, they said no open recalls and the service records dont show it being done on my car.
