> 1988 90 misfire (tips on replace plugs/wires/distributor)
To remove the stuck plug wire (end on plug), use the special screw driver (bend 90 degree on end of screw driver) and (or) use the puller etc. Before replace the all parts, check the compression and should have more than 120psi and you will have starting problem if your engine has lower than 120psi. Misfire problem on your engine probably plug wire end on plug( register has open ) or low compression in cylinder. Wire itself is OK most of time and check the connector on distributor side and rotor (burned resistor? ) . x19 |

Hey thanks!...i was able to get them off..I changed the plugs and it didn't make any difference i bought a knew distributor cap and rotor..and im just waiting for the wire set to come in the mail. Hopefully this will fix the misfire issue. I did a compression test when i changed the plugs was running 150-155 psi on all 5 cylinders so the compression is good.
Thanks! |
