Leaving the port in Emded on 19th... can't' wait

My A6 was built 2 weeks ago and is leaving Emden on the Aphrodite Leader on the 19th bound for San Diego. Getting excited! I've been tracking the ship since I learned which one my car will be on. It started in Singapore, through the Suez canal to Barcelona, several stops in Europe, then Panama Canal on to San Diego. Do you suppose it keeps heading west back to Asia and around again?

That depends on what kind of ship and what it carries. Some run a schedule and others take things where they have to go.

Here is what I ordered:
A6 Prestige
Aviator Blue Metallic
Velvet Beige interior
Fine grain ash wood
18" sport package
Driver Assistance Package

I chose the driver assistance package because of recent data showing that pre sense and auto brake features dramatically lower accident rates. I was going to get side assist anyways, so might as well get the whole deal.

I ordered mine in early November. There is only 1 ship/month to San Diego so there is some delay from build to ship. I'm expecting to get the car very end of February.

Ship arrived today in Port Hueneme. Off to San Diego tomorrow morning. Almost a full week early, so I should have my car before end of the month in Phoenix and ready to roll.

I even got to see the ship transit the Panama Canal locks via a live webcam. That's a REALLY big ship!

At least the captain didn't do any sightseeing too close to any islands...
