Welcome RS4Ship and petoria too. Congratulations to you both. There are LOTS of choices for cars out there, but very, very few can match the delicate balance of performance and luxury of the RS4. Combine that with exclusivity and reputation, along with the incredible knack these cars have to remain solid and not loosen up with age and miles, and it's easy to see why this platform has such a loyal following.

Now, for some pics please!

Default Pics Finally

Here are a few Pics. The orginal picture at the beginning of the thread is the best side profile shot. Only mods really are the Miltek exhaust with Ceramic Coated cans, the front chrome grill trim is painted black, and the gunmetal wheels.

I really like the look of the black trim on the front rather than the chrome trim. I'm really debating having all my chrome trim painted flat black and having my side view mirrors powdercoated to match the wheels. This will pretty much make it a "Black Edition" RS4, which I would have bought if I could have.

I also found this kit http://www.oemplus.com/window-trim-t...age-p-767.html but it doesn't get rid of the chrome strip on the back of the car or include the gunmetal side mirrors. I figure I can probably just have everything painted for less than the 800 bucks they want for just the trim. If anyone has any experience or recommendations on trying to change the Chrome Trim and Side Mirrors to match the "Black Edition" please let me know, also be curious to hear opinions on whether you think it's a good idea or not.

Chrome is for Buicks. The only chrome on our cars are the emblems. I think maybe you mean silver?

Ha, ya I guess it's polished Aluminum not Chrome. On my black RS4 it stands out so much that it feels chrome sometimes. There's just too much contrast between the black paint and the aluminum trim in my opinion, especially since my wheels are gunmetal. It's only been a few weeks...maybe it will grow on me. Judging by the lack of posts on any boards about similar subjects, I may be all alone on this one.

I'm in northern Virignia, hopefully the black on black rs4 can make it to the next meetup and I can see it in Person.

I've heard you have to take the bumper off to get the headlights off, so this mod will probably have to wait until the weather is nicer. I found a guy who will do the LED strips in the lights and clear corners for $440 bucks, but I have to send him the lights and it takes about a week. He's done lots of other B7's and all the pics looks great, I think he's on Version 4.

Here is a link to some pics of Verson 3 http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4443995

Second that - makes a massive difference IMO.

I'm lucky that my RS4 (2007 Euro spec RS4) came standard with the clear headlights.
