I'm concerned with changing from 20"s to 19"s on my future A7. One dealer says its a complicated process involving the computer another says its no big deal and Audi USA isn't really sure.
Did you have to adjust your car' computer? Did your A7 come with the 19" sports package (PPS)? Thanks for your help. |

I got the 19" Sport Package in part because I live in Chicago (can you say "pothole city"). I wanted the sport package, but I have broken a few wheels with ultra low profile tires, and honestly, of all the OEM A7 wheels I like the looks of the sport package 19' wheels best....the 20" sport package wheels are too shiny/busy looking for me.....
As for handling, I got nice long test drives in A7s with both sport packages before ordering and I found the handling difference to be negligable.

I like the ride on both my 20" OEM summer tires and the 19" winter setup. The winter set is from Hartmann and has the RS4 look that I get lots of compliments with.
http://gallery.hartmannwheels.com/v/...9_JS1.jpg.html I like the anthracite dark background as it looks cleaner longer. I only wash the shiny face and leave the rest alone in the background. My A7 is pictured on their site. I just changed back to the 20" summers and love the classy look. But I also will miss the simple and aggressive look of the RS4 style. Nice to like both season's wheels equally... something that I have not experienced before.

I finally heard from Audi of America and they said "As long as you are replacing the 20" with 19" that are Audi original equipment you shouldn't have a problem" for the car I have on order.
The rep i spoke to was not sure if the offsets are the same and recommended I double check. There is some question what affect changing the wheels would have on the Adaptive Cruise Control. My car is not equipped with ACC but others should take this into consideration. |

Can't speak for the 19s but the 20s with the s-line package are amazing for traction. Have been extremely impressed with the grip as I sling a car this large around extremely tight mountain rides in both the wet and dry at speed. They do make a bit of noise going over potholes but other than that are relatively quiet.
