Default Tires

What have y'all replaced your tires with? I'm at about 15k and it's clear these oem good years only have another 5k at best. I wanted to put some Nittos on there but was told by the dealer service dept that the Goodyear tire is the only one i should be putting on there. I wouldn't mind something a bit beefier.

My Goodyears have 26k miles and look like they'll go to 30k.

i havent been "unhappy" with the goodyears, was just hoping to find another tire once these wear out. im coming from a 4runner which had a bit more off road ability.

Not sure what size you need, but that will affect your options. I have the S-line 20" wheels, so fewer options than those with 18s or 19s. After researching on TireRack, I bit the bullet on the Firestone Destination STs. I'm not a Firestone guy, but they are the highest-rated non-winter tires in the right size. The Yoko Parada Spec-X are also highly rated, but provide zero rim protection.

They are coming in this week, so I'll let you know what I think after they are on for a bit.

Just to let you know, the Firestone Destination St' are an awesome tire for the price. However, they do not provide rim protection like Goodyears or Continentals. They are better than the Yoko for rim protection, but not the greatest on the 20" S-Line wheels. For that fact alone I will have to look at some other options next summer probably when the ST's need replaced.

The ST's winter traction is really, really good for an All Season. Pretty even wear so far through one rotation and about 15K miles, should get another 10-15K it looks like. Really good wet traction too, like I said the only complaint I have is the rim protection is not satisfactory IMO for the S-line wheel.

Ive got the 19" wheels, and Im finding tires in that size to be very few and far between. Which model Hankook's do y'all have? My tire size is a 265/50/19

Just got the Firestones mounted and am really happy with them so far. Very quiet and seem easily as capable on dry surfaces as the OEM Conti 4x4s they replaced.

Much more impressed with rim protection than what I initially thought. As you can see in the pictures, the bead of the tire clearly sits in a different spot, but the "bulge" of the tire will easily protect the rim from minor curb contact.

Supposed to get a major storm tomorrow, so I can report back on wet performance.
