they do have sensors

I ran the centrics posi-quiet for a few weeks and replaced them
rough on the rotors, a bit of noise, not as good cold
imo did not have the modulation or feel of oem, although they may be better warm

absolute stopping distance is more a function of tires than pads...you can lock 'em up with any of these pads, hence the need for ABS

it's a matter of preference...some like a slightly more aggressive pad...with a nose heavy car like the RS4 I find it easier to control with a less aggressive pad that eases into braking force over a longer pedal travel range...my M3 was different, it could absorb a more aggressive approach due to it's 50/50 balance, the car was unflappable....but quattro trumps the M3's attributes

Default Posi Quiet or Stoptechs?

I'm about to get new pads. I don't track, but do want something that has good bite and has low dust. Posi Quiet and Stoptech both are recommended. Any insight to which one is better?

Do NOT get posi quiet! They have ZERO bite! Get the stop techs!

Well they do not grab as quick initially as OEM- and if that is important he is right.

I have the Posi's and they seemed to have filled in the holes on the rotors and I'm not sure if its because of the semi-metallic material but has anyone else experianced this?

I have slotted rotors with the posi's and they're filled as well. I can't wait until I've worn them down enough to justify what I paid for them so I can move on.

My stoptech pads have filled in the holes with dust as well. Have your brakes stopped responding well, or are you getting brake fade during performance driving?

Many people believe that the holes are for heat disapation, but this is in fact not the case. Most experts agree that heat is best dispated through metal, not air. So the holes would actually cause less heat disapation. The truth is that most slotted and drilled rotors are for looks and there are no true performance gains on modern brake systems.

Sooo....I wouldn't worry too much about the holes, even though it is annoing that they just fill up with brake dust. I actually researched this because I was worried they weren't operating at 100%, only to find out it's basically just cosmetic.
