I just read that I might have a dual mass flywheel in my car.
Does anyone know if this is good or bad? I read that there might be some issues with them.

Will this flywheel type handle the tuning I want to get in the near future? (like a stage 1 or stage 2 tuning)

Also when I start up my car and drive like 10-20m I notice some strange sound in the car. It's like a spring or some thing jumps into or out of place. I can feel this also on the pedals.

I also have some kind of scratching sound when I drive my car after it has been parked over night. This sound also only last the first 10-20m.

Anyone know what this can be?

My problem is that when I drive the car and park it the sound wont come back. So if I drive to my dealer and ask for help they will probably not hear any sound at all. It looks like the car needs to be parked for some time before I get the sound again. Strange.. :|

Thanks,

regards,

I have compared some tuning brands and found out that most tuners in the US compared to the one in Europe drops on high rev.

Here is an example.

This is BSR's tune for the 2.0 TFSI 180hp with the IHI turbo:

This is a tune of the 180hp version and not the 211hp so the original curve will be higher on the 211hp version.
But you can see that after the tune the car holds up to like 6000RPM.

Here is a break from an A5 2.0 TFSI 2011 180hp FWD in Denmark using the new Revo sw:

before tuning:

after tuning:

288hp and 495nm ~ 365 ft*lbf

Also here you can see it holds up to over 6000RPM.

(oh, and all is measured in BHP)

Anyone know if there is any good reason for this?

Referring to Morphola's Post:

"Also when I start up my car and drive like 10-20m I notice some strange sound in the car. It's like a spring or some thing jumps into or out of place. I can feel this also on the pedals.

I get the exact same noise in the morning when driving the car out of my garage and into the street and then it goes away. Would also be interested in hearing why this is?

I was also looking at tuning Stage 1 and 2...not sure if my car has a dual mass flywheel or not and what the impact is with that. Any advice would help!

Got some new rims this summer.
It's the 19" RS3 rims but not original audi. This is 225/40-8.5x19 ET35.
Here are some pictures:

And today I finally installed the Milltek Sport exhaust system.
It sounds much deeper now but it's not to loud.

You can add any mod you want, but in the end, the best attribute of your car will be the color. ; )

Sounds like the ABS self-test.

I would guess this is simple (and normal) corrosion build-up on the disc's that form overnight (due to moisture/RH) and quickly rub off after a single application of the brakes.

I get this little light clicky as well, feels as if from under roughly the clutch area but pretty vague. It's normal. You also get a faint whine when you open the driver's door, the fuel pump getting ready I believe.

Hi,

Today I was out and did some logging on my car using VCDS.
Since I am about to tune the car soon I figure it could be fun to have some data to compare before and after.

Did some run in 2. gear and 3. gear.
