Default Symphony II radio Problems

I installed a new symphony II radio in my 2001 Allroad. The radio works fine, but I can't get the radio to light up when I turn on the lights, my steering wheel controls do not work, the volume goes up and down on its own and as I'm driving the radio will shut off after 20 minutes. this is frustrating. I research this problem and keep getting the same thing. I tried disconnecting the battery to reset everything, pulled fuses and still nothing. Can anyone help me with this?
