Have you tried rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl Alcohol) or Formula 409 cleaner?

I had the same thing happen to beige leather seats in my Tahoe and believe it or not hand sanitizer took it off! I'm thinking it was the alcohol in it that worked but never the less it did! Good luck!

I went down this morning to try out the rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl Alcohol) when it seemed to give results it started burning the surface from the leather, so I stopped there.
Here is a picture of the burned surface: I used very little rubbing alcohol on a 100% cotton cloth, but i have to mention that I have tried other cleaners in that part and the surface may have been compromised before trying the rubbing alcohol. I do believe if I would have used the rubbing alcohol from the beginning it would have cleaned it out 90%. Thank you guys for your tips.

I never wear anything but jeans and get blue dye stains on my grey leather all the time.
Lexol Leather Cleaner removes it very easily.

I have a light gray interior on my avant.
Wear dark jeans a lot. And dark pants to work every day. I bought the simonize Teflon coating package for the interior and exterior. I can go 6 months and don't have much build-up of stains. I give a lot of credit to that and it just seems to keep a barrier of protection. Maybe it's something else, but I'm quite lazy with cleaning my car and the interior has held up remarkably well.

Had the same problem in my CX-9, same problem in my Q. Leather cleaner always works for me too. I use Griot's Garage, but I suspect any good cleaner will work.

So I found out that Lexol works perfectly fine but only on some parts of the seats, which make me think that the leather they used, is not from the same batch.
For example Lexol takes out the dark stains from everywhere outside of: - the mid back part of the driver and passenger seat - and the back part of the center seat in the back row Outside of those parts it removes the stains from every part of the second row seats. I'll probably go talk to the dealer because I want to keep the car. Thank you guys for all your feedback. |
