Default Does new A6/A7 owners notice there back up camera not clear?

I noticed when I picked up my A6 in July that the MMI screen is crisp and clear but the back up camera is more grainer/pixel'ish, especially when compared to my former 2011 S4 with the old MMI technology, the back up camera was very clear. When I mentioned it to the service department, they said it was fine and working properly.

Does anyone else notice this or am I too picky (to want perfection).

The quality of the backup camera will not cause any concerns at Nikon. It does what it does okay IMO.

I don't disagree with your statement but I guess it's function over form, that is, it displays the back of the car okay, but not as clear as other cars I owned including a 2011 Audi, 2010 Lexus, 2008 Acura. I guess I'm too picky (obviously). Now don't get me started on the fact that three of my car doors closes with a nice "expensive sounding" thud but the fourth door closes like a "tin clang" similar to my former Impala ...

I wonder if the new chips that will be coming in will make any difference.

Maybe we can ask for a swap. My 2010 s4 was clearer also.

Any chance anyone could post a good quality photo of the A6 backup camera screen versus one that's considered better (preferably an Audi)?

I forget, is the 2012 A6 screen larger, and the difference could be just a matter of stretching a camera-dependent photo resolution that was optimal for display on a smaller screen? Is the image quality on the A7 better?

The A6 and A7 have the same screen. But, you may have a point on the resolution spread over a larger area than past models.

I noted the camera resolution on the backup sensor in one of my earlier test drive discussions. It's rather dismal to have a great looking screen with a poor resolution camera. I don't believe it'll be fixed with the new supply of chips.

The 2010 Lexus RX350 has a similar size screen (I think it's slightly bigger) and the back up camera has an almost HD like view. I would think it's the quality of the lens not screen.
