Default Anyone ever remove rear packing lid area behind rear seats?

My rear window was tinted on the car, but the tint needs to be redone. Unfortunately the window guy can't get the glue off down in that 3" area below the back deck lid behind the rear seats. I know I have to take the rear seats out, but does anyone have instructions to get that whole piece out. Any help would be appreciated. 05 A8L

Another reason it would be good to know: Debris and bugs get blown back between the bottom of the rear window and hat shelf. Very difficult to clean without removing it.

When I installed my subwoofer I was spelunking back there and nothing looked very easy to remove.

Guys, any tips?

That's a pain. That is why I contemplated for a long time exactly what tint I wanted. So I went limo back there just because I knew I would go darker in the future.

Default Read up in Bentley...

a lot of steps and many chances to break things if you don't do it right.

The least obvious are probably the bolts that secure the shelf from the trunk, but you only get to that near the end, long after the rear seat and lots of trim have come out.

BTDT, though on a four seater.

Rather you than me! The only bits I have had off are the rear middle brake light and the subwoofer cover. To remove the subwoofer cover I used a Filler Knife with a thin blade and it just unclips, for the rear brake light I used the same tool and unclipped the front edge facing me at both ends and worked my way along, then you pull the unit towards you remembering to unclip the brake light connection.
If you search the forum for rear middle brake light removal I am sure one of the guys has added some diagrams.
Sorry I cannot be of anymore help....good luck!
