2005 S4 front wheel bearings

I went to a local shop for a quote on bearing repair. They quoted me about $1,500 for both with all wheel alignment. Does this seem excessively high? I'm guessing this is not a DIY job considering these need to be pressed in correct? Is there anything I should have done while the bearings are being done. I.e. What else could fail next if those are wearing?

Thanks in advance for any advice that is given.

You can definitely DIY this. These bearings come already in their housing so theres no need to press them in simply just remove the 4 bolts and remove the bearing from the spindal.
