The only other way you can proceed in trying to get an A1 in the country is if YOU federalize the car with emissions, safety, and crash testing. This will easily cost you in the Millions of $$ to do. are you ready!?

There must be some way around the 25 year rule as I've seen an A1 in the US either on forums or for sale online a few times. Also that RS4 Avant a while back, among others.
So how do these cars get here?? I would love to know. All diplomats? |

Factory cars NOT for the US market are imported as Demonstrator vehicles. They must leave after 2 years or be destroyed with documentation. A1 may come to the US soon. If so, it will be when they facelift the car AFAIK.

There are a couple of ways to import an A1 but it is not easy and would take a lot of time. Except for a handful of people, it is not worth it. |

There are lot of changed happened in Audi world. It's not an easy task to import a car from Germany. Many people try to import it but it takes lot of time and it is not at all worth.
