Default Clutch feels a little funny

While depressing the clutch on the wife 2006 A3, it feels like it has about 3in of loos play until I feel normal pressure. On the way back out, it feel like it sticks for half a second, and then releases, like a soft snap.

Any ideas on what the heck this could be. We have 109k on it and I've already replaced the throw bearing with the master and slave cylinders at 60k.

Ok, so it was the master again!!! 108,000 miles on it now, the 1st time was at 60k miles. The dealer, different than the one I used previously, said that the hall sensor was installed upside down and the plastic tab was broken too. I don't know what that is but I can't believe it - and to think the original work was done by an Audi dealer.
