I'd like to start off by saying thank you for helping me locate the leak. I sent photos and the TSB to my SA and he ordered the parts immediately after speaking to the shop foreman. Early this morning I brought my car in for service and everything was repaired.

Techs notes: Removed Rear Differential, removed both the right and left c.v. shafts, removed caps, cleaned re applied sealant and re tested

Thanks again!

Hope all is well with your S4
Good to hear. I am waiting to get my ECU back to stock before bringing it in. I've been told it should not be an issue if I wait a few months.

Sorry for bumping a pretty old thread, but just wanted to comment that my 2011 S4 just went in for routine service and a Winter wheel/tire rotation (Audi keeps them for me), and when I picked the car up the service tech said I had a leak from the rear axle that needed to be fixed. I've never noticed any drops on the floor of my garage or driveway, so it must be a pretty minor leak. Thankfully they only need my car for two days, and they'll give me a loaner.

They also speed tested my Winter wheels/tires to 240Km/h - guess they saw some of my higher end autobahn speeds.

My dealer also had a stunning RS4 Avant sitting on the showroom floor - 95K EUR. OUCH!

Default seep...

mine was just a "seep", nothing built up enough to drip, and the dealer did an excellent job, no issues since. That's the ONLY issue i've had with mine, gotta Love it. High speed runs are few and far between here, but every once in awhile...

No one really gets drips from this leak. Its a very slow leak and really only splashes up on the axle while driving, not so much when sitting in the garage.

I did notice some spots on the garage floor with my sport diff leak........but moreso the telltale splashing on the axles and gas tank.
