Default Black Alcantara Headliner Finally Installed!

I finally had my alcantara headliner installed. It looks very nice and suprisingly, makes the B&O sound even tighter. It definitely helps break up the interior when you go Black on Black inside. It actually looks darker then the photos show since I used my flash on my camera to bring out the alcantara. Let me know what you guys think!

honestly I dont like it and can see why audi stopped offering it.

But at least you have something unique that not may others can say they have.

Not true. Alcantara is still offered in the R8, A8 and the S-models. It is still available for the Q7, you just have to know who to ask.

while it looks good i prefer the lighter colored alcantara headliner with the black S-Line interior... our headliner creates a bit of a two tone look. The alcantara along with the extra leather touches certainly does make the interior plush... but i dread the day ours gets dirty and i have to figure out how to clean it.

Alcantara headliner is still offered in the Q7 outside the US market. It was part of the "Luxury package" in the US which they dropped for 2011. You can still order the parts from Audi... but it's extremely expensive and I have to think the labor would be high for the install.

i love it, was this an oem headliner that you ordered or did you have a shop wrap your original liner?

how much did it cost with the black pieces to replaces the 'silver' pieces?

i have been reading all in, this is something around $3500 after installation, is that true?

i would like to do this with mine, since it is silver and i have black interior. the two tone look is not for me, i hated it on the a3 and having black or alcantara headliners in every other car i am a bit spoiled by it and used to it.

*btw; the rear controls and dome lights arent installed properly. take a look at them.

The use of a flash does not do it justice. You can tell by how faded it makes the leather look. The picture of the R8GT is much more accurate of what you'd expect. It looks awesome but for $3500 it's way out of my league.
