Welcome to the forum. I discussed the belt question in post 9, and I discussed the ATF question in post 6. As far as the services actually performed, take a look at the Maintenance Section in the TSB link in my signature where you will find the Maintenance Schedule.

I don't see a maintenance schedule for a 4.2 in that link?

Found this link... is the "ribbed v belt" the serpentine belt?

https://wiki.bentleypublishers.com/d...A6+Avant%2C+S6

If so.. says to check/replace at 75K for all engine models, not just 4.2

If you click on the link in my signature

http://uberlame.com/a6_tsb/

In the "Miscellaneous Items" section you will see a link for "Audi 2005 Maintenance Schedule".

In the "Miscellaneous Items" section you will see a link for "Audi 2005 Maintenance Schedule".
Thanks, I missed that.

However, that's the maintenance schedule for the non direct fuel injected 4.2.

Do you know if there's a difference between the two?

I ask because my independent repair shop did not replace the belt at 75 K.

And I'm at 90K now.

According to the pre-printed service check list on the back of my receipt from the dealer, which included the service check-list for all vehicles and all miles, you should have had the belt replaced. The belt is apparently the expensive part of the 75K service since they have to remove the nose of the car to get to it.

I looked at the service intervals at the end of the 55k sticky and on Kevins Geary's TSB library and no where does it mention a tranmission fluid change, however in my Audi service manual that came with my car under the 75,000 mile service interval it says automatic transmission fluid change. Does anyone know why this would be?

Audi asserts that the ATF is lifetime fluid and no change is required on Quattro models. If you have a CVT then the ATF does have service intervals.

Despite Audi's claims that the ATF is lifetime fluid in Quattros, I changed it at 40,000 miles and there was a significant improvement in the tranny.
