I am an LED fan, and would like to change the halogen 7505 DRL bulb to an LED. However I can only find that 1156 is interchangeable. Has anyone done this mod?

I was wondering if it throws any codes or burns up wiring etc.

I'm not sure if the car checks the existance of the DRL bulb every 30 seconds like it does with all the other bulbs but if it does then you will have a problem. Every 30 Seconds it will flash like a strobe when it is off while driving at night. Someone here got LED's to work but they needed to add a DIY capacitor to the wiring to pervent the flashing. People have reported the DRL light bulb out warning so the car probably checks.

I did this mod.
I went with the 68 SMD 1156 LED looking to pull more juice to prevent the error code...
I am glad to report.. No Error code & Its been a month with no problems. (KNOCK, KNOCK)

The only down fall is an occasional flash/flicker
But, with 68 of them,,, its hard to really notice unless you are staring at them..

It really does make that much of a difference...
and well worth the 20-30 mins for install ..(pulling the air box & moving the reservoir)
