..been a non poster/lurker myself for some time, but have recently added a new wagon to the garage.
A Dolphin 2004 S4 Avant,we call her "Grey", leather, tip, under 40k miles, nearly immaculate inside and out. I shopped for close to 4 months to find her. Knock on wood,a well serviced California car from a dealer in Seattle. What a sweet car! I am handing the A4 down to my soon to be 16 yr old son. "Silver" has been and still is such a sweet car too, 95k miles now, owned since 2003 when it had 32K, no leaks at the moment, deep glossy paint. She is a well seasoned classic in my book. My first (Audi) love!
I have had the S4 for about a month. Still stare every time I wax it, dust it, or walk away from it. And the driving? The V8 has such a nice note, great torque, albeit thirsty! And the magic rear view mirror, you know the one where any car in the mirror shrinks and disappears...especially around on ramps!
Had to pause for a second and admire the Avant lines. I like the strong athletic stance of a healthly German girl!
This pic is my youngest in the middle wondering what car he gets when he turns 16 between a proud dad, a lucky high schooler! Maybe we'll find a B5 S4 to one up his big brother!
