1.4 Version HDMI Question

I am seeing 1.4 format HDMI cabes now.

Does anyone know if these will work with 1.3 format equipment? I guess I am trying to figure out if they will play down?

Any input is appreciated.

From looking at the data Yes you can use them with equipment that only has 1.3

If i was wiring up a new system i would go with all 1.4 cables that are backwards compatible that way i am ready to the future i.e. 3d and return audio
