Courtesy Step bulb Swap to LED (under the Door jam)
So i ordered some LED's from autoillumination.com because I was getting real tired of the DULL halogen look..
This is purely cosmetic.
Bulb size is 168 or 194 both the same..
Pretty simple swap a Flat head screwdriver is all you need..
Here we see the difference in LED's (left) Bulbs (right)
Again in a different angle.
Here we see how the housing looks already popped out, Simple procedure just place the Flat head towards one of the edges an pop it out (there should be a small slot where the flathead fits right in), PLAIN an SIMPLE!
There is a cover towards the inside of the housing to dissipate heat, again the flat head towards one of the TABS and it comes off.
Here the look of the halogen BULB DULL isn't it!
CAREFUL CAUSE THESE BULBS get hot QUICK! PULL them out an replace with the LED...
EWW looks old..
Here is what the LED looks like, NICE isn't it.. BRIGHTER!
Look at that output, bright an not dull..
My next Project, LED's in the DRL no Error marking LED's
Stay tuned..

Very well done tutorial! I had to go out immediately and check out the feasibility. I got all the way to the bulb in just a few minutes. I'm with transporter2004. I'll be plopped on my garage floor inserting LED's next weekend. For now I need to get the bulbs. Thanks so much for sharing AEinaD3! It's posts like this one that make a site like this excel!

Thanks for the post AEinaD3. Nice! Can you give the part number from autoillumination.com as they just list a lot of LED supplier links. Did you actually purchase the LED from e-bay or superbrightleds.com or ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Just finished installing my driver/passenger lights. Very easy to do. I just used a letter opener to pop the covers off, then used the tip of the opener to pop out the small halogen bulb. Instantly working, very bright and much better looking. Not a single error thrown once.

LED City lights
Thank you very much for the nice pics. So what is the final verdict about the LED city lights? What kind of LED to use and where to buy all without getting the nasty Error Code. So far I tried 2 different kinds and they did not work. I used this site:

How about the fog lights? Can I use PED as well?
Thank you,
A.
