Didn't get the part #'s from the dealer. Not gonna buy em at this point.
Warning: Had to do a search of a few dealers to find ANY knowledge of the parts' existence.
Love Audis, but hate most of the dealers...do most of my ordering from other sources and do all my own work.
Audis network of dealers are very disjointed and COMPLETELY un-policed by the mother company. Even dealings I've had directly with Audi's A8/R8 division have been mostly fruitless...PR people reading off scripts, with no solutions. The last one I spoke with had to have ME explain to him where the oil cooler is located AND how it works...he was unaware of the existance of the defective part who's design I was questioning. They never got back to me, as promised.
After your Audi's out of warranty, you are on your own...and while under warranty at the individual dealer's mercy, qualified or not. ....Sad.

Found a photo of the updated output flange in the link below (including flange part #). As I stated before, an Audi dealer (not one I've dealt with) parts man told me on the phone that the new type flange "required" an updated end plate and seal, because the new flange was a different diameter, with a new size/shape seal AND would NOT fit the old seal and old plate.
According to the poster of this link and photo, he told me by email that he was replacing the end plate anyway. He said the new seal AND end plate were exactly the same as the old ones.
The new flange appears to be exactly the same diameter and same, except an extra lathe cut...can't confirm that, since I'm not there and haven't seen any of the new parts in person. But the photo looks as though the only difference IS a channel groove and undercut next to the outer end of the seal contact surface.
If this really is the ONLY thing changed, it seems (I can only guess) to indicate that the old version seal failures (repeated) are caused by crud build up eating the seal from the outside in (??).
It just looks as though the channel/undercut does nothing more than provide "breathing room" (so to speak) for the same type of seal...IF indeed there was no change in the end plate and seal (?).
Would love to hear any thoughts on this from anyone who's seen this in person, has part # info on the "new" plate and seal or made the change.
It's a part that haunts me and most D2 owners...more than once!

Same old end plate though?
As you see, I've gotten conflicting answers about that and don't no if the poster I mentioned has installed his yet. He might have gotten the wrong combo of parts, for all I know (?)

Right, the new type seal has to extend into the groove cut in the new type flange...according to the best sources, including the only guy I've found who's actually installing it.

Update:
The new type flange seal, required to fit the updated flange, also difinitely requires a new type diff end plate to fit the new seal...All 3 pieces required to work.
Most Audi dealer parts departments seem to be clueless about the flange and/or the other pieces required to make it work...big surprise, huh?
