Default I've had my 7D for a few months now, taken ofer 5000 shots with it..

I love it. It's such an amazing upgrade from the 30D. It's blazingly fast, and accurate. The new focusing options are amazing, and the ability to change on the fly is awesome.

Image quality is beyond belief. The RAW files are understandably huge for the 18mp sensor (around 20mb each!) and contain so much detail, that you can crop them to 50% and still have a great usable image.

I've found the images to have a lot more depth to them, much more realistic looking.

The new BGE7 battery grip is nice, and has the AF-ON button. This grip is molded to better fit the body than the grips for the 10/20/30/40/50D. It feels more solidly built as well.

The new batteries for the 5DII and 7D last much longer, but also take longer to charge. They can relay their status to the body more accurately, and the body knows which battery is which, as it can interrogate the battery for it's serial number etc.

Overall very impressed so far. Have not taken it to a race yet, but I shot several cars for AudiWorld with it, and the images are pretty good. =)

One thing I didn't mention, CF cards. 4 GB cards just aren't big enough. I picked up 2 16gb cards, they are more than fine, especially if you mix in any video.

Speaking of the video, while the quality of the video is amazing, functionally it's very limited. The camera can not focus track a moving object, so you have to pre-focus, or manually focus.

Agreed, the 7D is a fantastic camera. I wish they would put the 5DII sensor in that body.
