A4 (B8 Platform) DiscussionDiscussion forum for the B8 Audi A4 produced from 2008.5-present
Hi All, hoping someone have some knowledge about this
I am looking in to a couple of mods with VCDS and was wondering if anybody had already had a look at this? I have a 09 B8 in Norway (bought just before the LED rear light came) I would like to have the LED rear lights, but have not found the price to be worth it.
The two things I am looking at are.
1.Static Cornering Light – As on the 2010 VW Tiguan and latest Golf
They use the right and left fog light as cornering lights. Turn the steering wheel to the right or engage the right turning light and the right fog light illuminates to lighten up the area you are going for (only useful for low speed). The same happened when going left. The cars I have been seeing this at ir the latest model Golf, Tiguan and the Mercedes E-Class. All the electronics should be in place on the B8 so could this be done?
2. Rear lights fully illuminated while braking.
The other idea is regarding the rear light. At least in Europe when you brake, only the outer lights are illuminated. The ones on the trunk are only working as rear light whiles the ones outside are illuminated when you brake. I would like all four to illuminate when I brake. I have heard some rumors as that how the US models behave, or if that was only with the LED rears. Can anybody confirm that this is how the US model rears behave?
Any good input or experience would be appreciated
