Default Engine Check warning Light

The engine check warning light is intermittently showing after I clear the faults. There are no symptoms of engine power losses etc.
Anyone has similar problems? It comes intermittently after a week + I clear the faults.
The fault reading below;-

Could it be the car battery? It hasn't been changed for the past 4-5years.
Hence the car is still 4++++ KM.

Default Looks like your coolant temperature sensor is failing.

They cost about $20 and takes about 15 minutes to change.

Yep. Try swapping out for a new green top CTS if you haven't changed it for a spell. It's seriously easy to swap and relatively inexpensive to do.

Also - they have these at the VW dealers which MAY be cheaper than the Audi dealers.

Which coolant temperature sensor?
You meant the thermostat or the flange?
Any sample part number?

Coolant Temp Sensor. Green top.

Easy as hell to replace.

1) Let the car cool down ALL THE WAY (unless you like hot liquid in the face - not that there's anything wrong with that)

2) Find the CTS

3) Drink a beer

4) Unclip the harness on the CTS

5) Drink another beer

6) Pull the little clip off of the CTS

7) Pop out the old CTS and replace with the new CTS

8) Replace clip on CTS with a new clip because you broke the original clip removing it

9) Drink another beer

10) Hook up the harness connection

11) Wipe hands on pants and finish that beer.

Easy as pie, took me like 5 minutes and I didn't spill a drop of coolant. It will take you longer to drink the beer than to replace the CTS.

Very common part and problem.
