Default Like Tom Petty says, "the waiting is the hardest part"

I know this has been talked to death, but waiting on my new A5 is insufferable. Does anyone have RECENT experience who can tell me how much time it is taking to get a car to North Carolina from build date to dealer delivery?

I ordered my car in September 2009. The build date on the sticker on the driver's side says manufactured October 2009. The car came to the dealer on November 9th and picked it up on November 12th. I expected it in January or February. Maybe they had a boat ready to go right after they built the car so they loaded it on or something.

I decided on Sept. 20 to order my car. They said they had one allocated that they could change for me. It was built Nov. 16th, loaded on the ship on the 22nd. I was told they'd see it the week of Dec. 7th. They also said that they were going to make a call to have it rushed. I don't know if that meant that it will be here sooner then expected.

I have been going crazy waiting for it. The weather has been so good too. It will be pretty cold when the car shows up.
