Default A5 ECU upgrade help

Hi,

So I got my A5 2.0TFSI today; took some pics unfortunately it's been raining in Vancouver.

I'm thinking of doing an ECU upgrade after break-in.
Has anyone tried Bluefin or APR reprogram? Which one is better for the 2010 A5? Any comparisons?

I'd appreciate the help and thanks in advance.

Is that Garnet Red? Love the color either way, what a beautiful car! As for the ECU upgrade that's a matter of personal preference and ease of install/follow up. Usually a good idea to stick with someone local in case you need a reflash or help trouble shooting. I believe APR and GIAC are the only ones out with the new software for the 2010s.

Yup that's garnet red. I see. Would you say it'll make a noticeable difference?

Check with your local APR dealer to make sure the software is ready if you decide to go that route. Sounds like one forum member already wasted time trying to get the APR option: http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2769796

From the APR spec page, I'd definitely say it'll make a noticaeable difference. Massive torque on the low end and a decent HP increase across the range. You may also want to wait a few months and see what Stasis Engineering comes up with, as their products can be installed at partnered Audi dealers and there would never be any questions or warranty issues.

Does the APR tuning help with the lag in first gear on an A5?

I noticed that too. The torque comes in quite sudden at start up, whereas around 3k rev on 2,3rd gears it feels slow.
