German Sport Sedan Photo Op

Inspired by my previous Audi (a 2006 B7), four of the six members in my long-standing poker group have acquired German sport sedans in the past year, bringing the total to five with my 2010 A4. Despite sending each of them to my Audi sales rep, they were lured by the siren song of lower lease rates to those "other" marques and ended up with two BMW 328i's, a BMW 328xi and a Mercedes 300 4Motion (or whatever they call their AWD). Undestanding a certain level of irony in our selected backdrop, we decided to document this automotive coincidence with a photo shoot in front of a World War II Navy Advanced Trainer known as the SNJ-4 maintained and flown by the Cleveland Wing of the Commemorative Air Force of which I am a member (http://www.commemorativeairforce.org/). Our SNJ (equivalent to the Army Air Corp AT-6 and the Canadian and British Harvard)started flying in 1942, and its 600 hp Pratt & Whitney engine has a manufacure date of December 6, 1941. In any event, and not wanting to stir up the whole Audi vs. BMW vs. Mercedes thing, I think my Audi wins the beauty contest hands down, with the SNJ a close second.

I think "fire truck" color BMW looks not bad also.
