Default heater flap servo repair - an update

So I finally got around to doing this fix. Survived last winter by keeping the temp at the highest setting (HI) and manually controlling the fan. Of course I had to first find the controller arms and force them into the right position.

Anyway, just wanted to add a few points to the great workup on repairing the servo motor, which is here:
http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeyn4dp/s...ervorepair.pdf

1. I couldn't find the damn thing. It is under the hood, right up next to the windshield and underneath the rain-guard. But it is hidden inside a box the size of a cig pack on the passenger side with 2 screws holding the top down. Mine has a red 'achtung' sticker on it.
2. I left everything where it was, and just pulled out the actual motor (after the step where you remove the 5 torque screws).
3. The hardest part for me was the metal flaps holding the motor together. Finding the right sized screw driver, and a lot of working at it, got it done for me. Had to use a vise to hold the motor when prying the flaps back down.
4. Good idea to set up an area to work on the motor so you don't lose parts. Easy fix, but it does take patience. And I didn't use a dremel, just sandpaper.

Default Correction

So #1 above is totally wrong, my bad. There is an identical motor on the drivers side, opposite the flap arms.

This guy has an in-depth write-up on how to access it:
