Received my rental Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L from Lensrentals.com..

First of all, www.lensrentals.com is AMAZING. Very happy with the service, and selection.

The 100-400 is a great lens. It's not nearly as heavy as people make it out to me. I'd venture to say it's no heavier than my 24-70 f/2.8L, and it feels lighter on the camera, because it's longer and gives more leverage on the body.

I haven't had the chance to shoot anything worth posting, but I'm looking forward to getting to Road Atlanta, and giving it a through workout.
