http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2762658 Still, if you do exactly what he does in that picture (putting a screwdriver head in the slot and bending it RIGHT), the housing won't come off... in fact I did that and snapped the housing on the left. Good thing that it was hardly noticeable and can be replaced easily. Having learned my lesson, I will show you how to remove them without any damage. The easiest way to remove it is to first insert the screwdriver into the slot, bend it to the LEFT until the left side of the housing drops down a little from the socket (enough width for you to put another flat screwdriver BETWEEN the edge of the housing and the socket, then you can just unclench the housing with the second screwdriver nice and easily. If you are afraid of damaging the paint job of your car, you can use a plastic wedge in place of the second screwdriver. By the way, have you bought a set of LEDs yet? If you buy a set that comes with new housings, I'd be happy to buy the stock ones from you and get mine replaced. |
