Default Homelink question

Gang,

I can't seem to get my homelink to open my garage door. I followed the instructions and got the 3 blinking hazard signal as described in the book but after what looks like a successful programming, nothing happens. Anybody ever encountered anything like this? Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.

What type of opener do you have?

I had a similar issue just yesterday, trying to figure out how to get Homelink to work with my Genie Quietlift 2040 with Intellicode remote controls.

The trick, which is either not in the manual, or I kept overlooking it, is after you get the 3 confirming blinking hazard signals from your car. You have to put the Genie into learning mode. Once you do that, you then need to press the button you programmed in your vehicle to tell the opener, that's the signal you want it to look for.

Climb up and see if you have a "learn" or "smart" button on your opener, to see if you have to take this final step like I did.
