Default A5/S5 Purchase opinions

I am looking at ordering a (standard White or Black paint) 2010 A5 or S5, and with my available funds I can either go with an A5 3.2V6 w/ S-Line package & Prestige package ($51,250 sticker) or an S5 base with no options at all ($54,425 sticker). I am purchasing.

What would be your recommendation as far as the car that would hold its value better over the next 3-5 years, and what should I expect to pay over invoice or off of sticker on these? Thanks for your opinions as I am undecided wheter to get the bells and whistles w/ the V6 or the horsepower and sound of the V8.

Can't help with the resale value question, but I would say that you should get the one you prefer for your own needs, and not let resale value influence your decision. You're the one who is going to be driving it for ~5 years, so make it the one you want, not the one the guy after you is going to want.

The only thing I feel you'll be missing in the base S5 versus the loaded A5 is the Nav package. If you can afford the ~$55k for the S5, I would recommend trying to get it for $2000~2500 below MSRP and spec the Nav package...food for thought.

You are looking at the wrong brand if you want strong resale value.
