Default ABS switch

Ok so this car a 1991 audi 200 20 valve has an ABS button that turns off the abs. Some ask why you would wanna do this. The tires locked up can sometimes deliver better stopping power in slush or gravel if you drive well and know what your doing. anyways this button does not work. Does anyone have any ideas about the first place i should check to see what the issue could be. Or has anyone else had this issue

explain "doesn't work"..

These switches suck and if you havn't started there I would. If the ABS IS working and you want to turn it off that is, if the ABS is already off, then start at the switch but also check the relay..

It wont turn the abs off. so you think it would just be the switch. so i could just hard wire one in it the original switches place?

Or you could pop out the switch and try squirting some electronic cleaner into it.

also it does not activate right away when you press it, you got to hold it in for like 2 seconds... so ppl dont hit it accidentally and then sue audi because of "broken ABS"
