Default epc... soft limp mode....

my fiance was driving the car to work this morning and on the trip the epc light came on and the car lost power.... it started acting really strange. She pulled over and the car was idling really rough. She turned it off and then back on, the light was out and it was idling fine. She drove it the rest of the way to work and no other lights came on and the car was fine. Now i wont be able to vag it today.. hopefully tommorow.
Any ideas on what it could be or possible things to check or look for?

a bad O2 sensor or MAF could cause all of your symptoms.
sometimes carbon builds up on the O2 sensors.
You can also check the connection with to your MAF.
i'm by no means an expert, you can try posting on Audizine where you'll def find more help
g'luck

02 sensor wouldnt cause that... but the maf/mass air would.
