btw, wasn't sure if this should go under C4 or in the "S" cars since it's not entirely 20v specific. thanks

Have you tried lobotomizing your double wide bulb monitor relay under the hood in the relay access panel 1? Try to search the f'ed up archives (STFA)
as I believe there was a write up about it. I'll take a look at my own files as well but basically you reroute the bulb monitor circuit inside the relay to provide the correct voltage for the minicheck system which it sounds like you may have tried that something similar already. The procedure has worked for quite a few people with HID bulbs. I also got this bulb out beep with stock headlights!, ended up resoldering the whole mini check circuit board. Took it out so many times I was timing myself, hahaha
