Almost done with my updating my family room setup - will post pics when done

Waiting on:
Panamax Power Conditioner - on the FedEx truck as we speak
Phono Pre Amp - in the mail
Marantz AV8003 - due later this month

I moved all the equipment from the cabinet to under the TV stand. My D* HDDVR dropped 10-20° by not being stacked on the receiver.

I lost my HD DVR and had to call D* last night to fix. Seems that one of the ports on the multiswitch quit working to one of the tuners on the DVR- Guy came out this morning and was great and also found some wall connectors that I was using were limited to 1Ghz rather than 3 Ghz so he replaced them too.

I got the Marantz MM8003 amp - using the old SR8200 as a Pre and I can hear a difference and looking forward to being able to bi-wire the PSBs when I get the AV8003. I started cleaning up my documentation files and found out the SR8200 is over 7 years old and was a dated piece when I got it then. The center channel is still bad so I look froward to getting the AV.

I now have the cabinet back to the original spot where I took this picture many years ago - the turntable is now sitting on it (but with no tv where it is now):

Here is a better perspective though with my M&K speakers I was using when this shot was taken

Not a great situation as we can't use the fireplace but I would rather have this setup to enjoy music and movies. Will post updated photos when all is in place

really nice B&W mono block amps and a pre amp with the intent of getting rid of all my old Crown equipment. I also started looking for a nice vintage Sansui Tuner which I found this year. Long story (almost two years worth!!) short it is still boxed up. The project has grown exponentially to include a re-work of the dedicated audio cabinet and getting more speaker capability via a Niles 10 speaker unit. Etc etc...I am almost ready to start!! And of course a new turntable for some recently aquired 78's!! There will be a full writeup with pictures in the future.
