Default Really?

I chose the gray interior with the walnut trim and think it looks very classy.

Default From that angle and lighting, the grey is great!

Default Because of lack of black contrasting panels and steering wheel, beige and grey look spray-painted.

Default What my dealer says about black interiors...

They have a hard time selling anything but black interiors!

Default I was hesitant at first because it's going to be annoying to keep clean, but I love this interior...

with red exterior...

The lack of MMI buttons under the shifter is odd. Such a natural place to have all this stuff right at your fingertips.

We will be getting beige+black dash and beige+dark brown dash for 2013, which should look sharper than the current sea of beige/taupe. The black dash will have a little less of the plastic chrome around the instrument cluster, and the brown will have instead a bronze/brown color insert with a little bit of silver trim. The gray will also be available with a black dash. I feel like the new color combos will be an improvement and the reduction of the border-line gaudy/tacky swath of cheap plastic chrome around the instrument cluster is also welcomed. Note that according to the order guide, it seems like the brown dash will not be available with sports seats.

The all black interior is kind of too boring for me, yet at the same it contrasts too much with all the plastic chrome trim. At least the new S4 black interior has some nice stitching work.

PS: It looks like brown seats will also be available. We'll have more and nicer choices.

Black without contrast stitching is dull. The color combos are definitely interesting.
